Birth to Three Services/Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program

Please seek the help of a Family Resources Coordinator (FRC) if you have concerns about your Birth to Three year old child.

•        An FRC can screen your child for developmental concerns and help you access services that meet your family's specific needs

•        An FRC will assist you in working with the schools and/or private therapists to schedule children for appropriate evaluations and services

•        An FRC will coordinate the process of creating your Individualized Family Service Plan to reflect the services for your child and family

•        An FRC will answer your questions, explore community resources and assist you in any way possible

information for your district.

community capacity for early intervention services.

DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING, EVALUATION AND EARLY EDUCATION RESOURCES

Developmental screening/assessment and recommendations regarding early intervention services are available
without cost to the family or third-party payer(s). A child may be referred for screening or evaluation whenever
a concern is raised, whether or not there is a medical diagnosis.

Each school district in Thurston County provides evaluation and early intervention services for children from
birth through age six. Developmental screening and evaluation is provided by a team of professionals that
includes early childhood special educators, school psychologists, speech/language therapists, and occupational or
physical therapists.
