Diverse Abilities Autism Program (DAAP) Update

After many years of dedicated service to children and families, the DAAP Program Director will be retiring on December 18, 2026. As a result, the current DAAP program will be gradually phased out.

 

We are deeply grateful for the impact DAAP has had on families throughout our community and the commitment shown by the staff who have supported the program over the years.

What this means for families:

• DAAP is no longer accepting new referrals.

• Current families enrolled in the program will continue to receive services and support through their transition plans until December 18, 2026.

• Staff will work closely with each family to ensure a thoughtful transition to appropriate resources and supports.

 

While DAAP is winding down, South Sound Parent to Parent is actively developing a new autism support program designed to meet the evolving needs of children and families in our region. We anticipate launching this new program in Fall 2027 and look forward to sharing more information as plans are finalized.
